on the radio

I'm happy to say I did a fun interview with Sylvia Maria Gross for the local NPR station's show "KC Currents." It's about my Estate Sale photographs.

Here is the link to the KCUR website, which has a link to the show itself.

Such a great story about your transition and letting go of your physical memories.

I walked through your show last Friday. Your sensitivity to life's moments and subtle emotions are amazingly well composed. Your selection of themes shows the breadth of your creative awareness. I hope you have many more years of developing your palette. - CP

I went to the show just before returning to LA and I thought it was magnificent. One of the best individual artist's shows I've ever seen. Really showing the breath and depth of your work. I have a suspicion that you have never gotten the recognition the work deserves. I hope you had good attendance so everyone could see what a unique vision you have.

Congratulations. Bob

Gloria, your show is really incredible, I am so glad I finally had a chance to go visit. I can't wait to read through the book as well. Your lovely poem about taking photographs really moved me, it reminded me of how I feel about working in clay.

My boys really liked the photographs at the front of the show of the children under water, they thought the way the water changed the human form was "freaky" (their words).

Gloria, I listen to NPR al the time but I missed it on Tuesday. However, thankfully several people called me to tell me about your interview with Sylvia on KC Current. I did find it on the internet and thought it was just wonderful--many thanks for the kind compliments. Also, I loved the piece in the Sunday paper a couple of weeks ago. I will forever view photography with emotion from now on. What a pleasure to have met you and Eddie. Patti

your show meant so much to me....i had tears in my eyes most of the time , it was so profound and the work is truly brilliant. so there.. i was thrilled, then i got home and realized i had not bought the catalogue....i want one...i also want a print but right now i am strapped (been sick, no sales, no tenant in building and zen gray is still on the payroll) we need to figure a way ...i loved the man standing in the lake (if i had catalogue i would know which lake)..it is hanging next to the hair salon which is sensational as well)
