I just returned from the beach on the Oregon coast. I got to be at a beautiful place, I got to be with much of my family, and I got to make photographs of my grandchildren. Pretty great week!

The first day of twelve with the grandchildren was today. I'm hoping to post a photo a day, along with a quote from a children's book.

The first one was taken during nap time. Luckily this grandchild sleeps like a rock... didn't even budge during the loud Hasselblad shutter. Thunk.

working on my website

I've been updating my website this week. The biggest change is the addition of a portfolio named "Grandma With a Camera." I've spent hours looking at everything I've made of my three grandchildren and then picking out my favorite images. Some of these I processed for the first time. I am so lucky to have these beautiful, curious, engaged and creative children in my life. And I am lucky they don't mind me sticking a camera in their faces on a regular basis.
