the golden hour
It's also called the magic hour. It's that time of day just before the sun dips down for the night. A golden glow is cast upon everything, and shadows are long. I love the summer golden hour here in the Pacific Northwest. The light slices through the trees and buildings in a way that always makes me stand up and pay attention.
Tonight I was walking through the South Park Blocks when the light was at its most dramatic. I came upon this young, leggy woman sleeping on the sidewalk in the park. The way the light draped her body (and nothing else) gave me goosebumps. It was as if she was lit from inside.
